Klipsch RP-500M:

Description bookshelf acoustics Klipsch RP-500M:

The Klipsch RP-500M bookshelf speakers are well-proportioned for placement in a residential interior, and at the same time, they are able to provide high sound volume. The speakers are made in MDF cabinets with a textured vinyl finish in natural wood. The front panels of the Klipsch RP-500M are refined with beautifully colored driver surrounds with a woofer cone, as well as a new Tractrix horn with smooth internal shapes. The speaker is equipped with a removable magnetic grid on magnetic holders, the presence of which can make the appearance of the speakers calmer, and the absence of it can make it catchy and aggressive.

The Klipsch RP-500M features a 5.25" woofer with a Ceametallic composite cone. The diffuser has a multilayer structure and consists of a magnesium-aluminum alloy and ceramics, with an external copper coating. The result is a rigid and lightweight structure. Cerametallic cones are traditionally used in high-end Klipsch acoustic woofers and provide these speakers with powerful and detailed bass.

The speakers feature an updated Tractrix horn made from a silicone-based composite material. A tweeter with a 1-inch titanium dome is mounted in the horn, the suspension of which ensures its linear movement without distortion. There are holes in the back of the tweeter cabinet that eliminate internal standing waves. Due to the extended frequency response of the tweeter, the crossover filter in the Klipsch RP-500M is tuned to a relatively low value of 1500 Hz. Thanks to this, it was possible to obtain a natural and articulate transmission of vocals and acoustic musical instruments.

On the back of the Klipsch RP-500M is the patented Tractrix bass reflex port, which has high efficiency and low acoustic noise. This speaker is perfect for both stereo systems and home theaters, and thanks to its high sensitivity, it places modest demands on the output power of the connected amplifier.
