Klipsch R-625FA - BLK/GNM Speaker

The floor-standing Klipsch R-625FA from the updated Reference line features a top-panel compartment that houses a slightly angled, dedicated two-way module designed to deliver the modern Dolby Atmos object-based 3D audio format. The sound waves emitted by the module are reflected from the ceiling and enter the listening position, providing the effect of full presence.

The upper part of the speaker facade is occupied by a large Tractrix horn, which houses a compression tweeter with an aluminum membrane and a Kapton suspension - a light, rigid material that minimizes distortion and improves sound quality.

The proprietary LTS (Linear Travel Suspension) technology also helps to get rid of distortion and ensure an accurate piston stroke of the HF emitter membrane. The result is an accurate, detailed sound with excellent resolution. In turn, the Tractrix horn directs sound waves precisely at the listener and significantly reduces the number of reflections from the walls of the room, resulting in a more transparent, dynamic, and clear sound. A similar tweeter is used in the module for sounding overhead channels when working with the Dolby Atmos format.

On the front panel, there is a pair of 6.5-inch mid/bass drivers, the cones of which are made of cast IMG graphite and coated with a layer of copper. This material provides high rigidity and at the same time is light in weight. Both speakers are magnetically shielded. The Atmos module uses a 5.25-inch mid/bass driver of a similar design.

The floor-standing Klipsch R-625FA speaker system is made of MDF and has a reinforced structure, which makes it possible to reduce vibrations to zero and get rid of the body staining of the sound. The bass reflex port is located at the rear of the speakers, and its bell is made in the form of a Tractrix horn, which allows you to optimize the movement of the outgoing air, eliminate turbulence and get rid of overtones. There are two separate blocks on the rear panel of the speaker, which include a pair of screw terminals, respectively, for the Atmos module and speakers. Sturdy die-cast metal feet give the Klipsch R-625FA a slight rearward tilt, while low-profile magnetic grills protect the speakers. Scratch-resistant vinyl is used to finish the speakers.

The speaker's cabinet is made of durable MDF material and is available in a black or gray finish. It has a 6.5-inch copper spun woofer and a 1-inch aluminum LTS tweeter, both of which are Klipsch's signature design elements.
